Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

This policy explains who owns the content on this site, how to report content you believe infringes your copyright (including notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, "DMCA"), and what happens when a report is received. It applies together with our Terms & Conditions.

1. Our content and catalogue

All music recordings, artwork, software (including our audio plugins), text, logos and other materials offered on this site are owned by or licensed to S.U. Corporation Limited, trading as Strictly Underground, and are protected by UK, EU, US and international copyright law. Buying a download or a software licence gives you the personal rights described in the Terms and, for software, the Software Licence Agreement (EULA) — it does not transfer ownership, and it does not permit re-uploading, file-sharing, resale or public distribution of our recordings or software. We actively enforce our rights against unauthorised distribution.

2. Trade marks

"Strictly Underground" is a registered trade mark of S.U. Corporation Limited. Unauthorised use of the mark — including on merchandise, releases, event promotion, domain names, social accounts or software — is infringement and is enforced. The UK Underground name and logos are also protected. Trade-mark complaints and licensing requests should be sent via the legal notice form ("Other legal notice") or to support@ukunderground.com.

3. Reporting copyright infringement (notice & takedown)

If you believe content on this site — including user-submitted content such as reviews or community posts — infringes your copyright, use our legal notice form (preferred — it is logged and acknowledged instantly with a reference number), send a notice to support@ukunderground.com with the subject line "Copyright notice", or write to our registered office above. So that we can act quickly, your notice must include:

• identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed (or a representative list);
• the exact URL(s) on this site where the material appears;
• your name, postal address, email address and, where available, telephone number;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
• a statement, made under penalty of perjury (for DMCA notices), that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf; and
• your physical or electronic signature.

This procedure satisfies the notice requirements of 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) (DMCA) and serves as our notice-and-takedown contact point under UK and EU law (including the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 and, where applicable, the EU Digital Services Act).

4. What we do with a valid notice

On receipt of a substantially complete notice we will promptly remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the user who posted it (where applicable), and keep a record of the notice. Incomplete notices may be returned with a request for the missing information.

5. Counter-notice

If material you posted was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; your name, address and email; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or, for DMCA counter-notices, the relevant U.S. federal district court); and your signature. Unless the original complainant informs us within 10–14 business days that they have sought a court order, we may restore the material.

6. Repeat infringers

We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. Misuse of this procedure (knowingly false notices or counter-notices) can carry legal liability.

7. User-submitted content

By posting a review or community message you confirm the content is your own and does not infringe anyone else's rights, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on this site. We may remove any user content at our discretion, including in response to a notice under this policy.

8. Licensing our music

For sync, sampling, compilation or any other licensing enquiries about the Strictly Underground catalogue, contact support@ukunderground.com. Unauthorised commercial use is pursued.
