NAME: SPECIAL MC

AGE: STILL GOOD LOOKING

MANOR: ILFORD

P.O.B. HACKNEY

Living as a kid in Hackney (East London) you would always hear booming sounds whether it was coming from a car radio or someone's house.
My sister was into the rave scene and I always used to hear her play her music, which was mainly Jungle Drum & Bass. This is what caught my attention and I would listen to it everyday until I knew it off by heart.
I would go out and buy tape packs like Desert Storm, One Nation, Moondance etc.
When I heard M.Cs I knew that I wanted to be one. I used to practice and learn my favourite MC lyrics.
I then moved to Ilford with still the same passion for music and wanting to be an MC.
Around the age of 13 I couldn't go anywhere without chatting to myself and my mates would tell me I should go in the local pubs and clubs, so a little bit later on I did.
At party's I would always go up and do my shit. People would say I was good and should try doing something.
So by the age of 15 I had a residency at the Hope in Ilford and was playing club's like Harlequins, 5th Avenue.
By the time I had my own lyrics and had a set on a pirate radio station called Flava F.M.
I would be doing little raves for the radio like the bomb and Fruity.
My big break really came when I met Mark Ryder because he was a good producer and a big name in the music scene.
I met Mark through a friend of my dad. He told Mark about me and luckily for me Mark was making music at the time and told me to come round.
When I went there it was the first time I had seen a studio and it was better than I expected.
I started busting out a few lyrics and before I knew it I was on a record (JOY).
After that it just got better and better. Joy got signed and We had a UK top 40 HIT and I now have bookings coming out of my ears.
I've done Raves like JUICEY, Twice as Nice, Emotions, Bliss, Gas Club, The Notting Hill Carnival, U.K.G. Awards and many more.
I am now making more tunes with Mark and other labels and have got my own set on Extreme F.M every Saturday 6-8pm which is an up and coming station (Watch This Space).
So that is how my music career has gone so far and there is only better things to come.
